Crews battle Chepachet house fire

CHEPACHET, R.I. (WLNE) – A fire tore through a Chepachet home on Saturday morning.

Crews responded to a house fire on Old Snake Hill Road around 10 a.m.

Chepachet Fire Chief Chris Labutti told ABC6 no one was home at the time of the fire.

Although there were no injuries, a kitten was killed in the fire.

Labutti said the cause of the fire is under investigation.
