Crews battle fire at Scituate home

SCITUATE, R.I. (WLNE) – North Scituate firefighters responded to Dorr Road after neighbors reported flames on Friday night.

Chief Adam Herbert said due to the snow and terrain, the roof started to collapse right after firefighters entered, causing an “immediate evacuation and defensive fire attack.”

Herbert told ABC6 that ten different departments responded to assist.

There were no injuries reported, and no pets in the home.
