UPDATE: One confirmed death as crews battle overnight house fire in Cranston

CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — An overnight house fire is now extinguished on Beckwith Street in Cranston where officials confirm there was one death.

The fire occurred around 11-30 Monday night.

ABC6 was on the scene and saw multiple fire trucks and police cars.

Right now, we don’t know what caused the fire to start, a large hole could be seen in the roof caused by the flames.

We’ve reached out to both fire and police departments for more information and will update you as we learn more.
