Crews respond to house fire in East Providence

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Crews were on scene this morning for a house fire in East Providence.

According to officials, a call came in from neighbors that smoke was coming from the second floor of the home.

The fire was put out fairly quickly.

Five residents, who were displaced, are working with the American Red Cross.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
