Crews search for missing person in North Attleboro woods

NORTH ATTLEBOROUGH, Mass. (WLNE)- Crews responded to reports of a possible missing person on Sunday morning in North Attleboro.
Residents reported that they had heard cries for help coming from the woods near 135 Sheldonville Road.
Units from the North Attleboro Police and Fire Departments searched the area with assistance from Massachusetts State Police, Bristol County Technical Rescue, Mansfield Emergency Management Agency, and Cumberland Fire Department.
State Police sent in a helicopter to look over the nearby woods.
State police say that K-9 units were used at 610 Paine Road.
The Fire Department had gotten calls throughout the night reporting screams, but they think it might’ve been a fisher cat.
The search has since been called off.
