Crews tackle heavy fire in North Providence home

NORTH PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- A fire spread to the second floor of a North Providence home Monday night.

Crews responded to the Twin Lane residence at 7:45 p.m.

ABC 6 News Crews reported live from the scene that three ambulances were at the residence while four trucks tackled the blaze.

The fire began in the chimney before extending to the attic, officials say.

2 people live in the house but were not home at the time of the fire.

At this time officials are determining if the house is uninhabitable.
