SOMERSET, Mass. (WLNE) – A criminal complaint has been filed against the bus driver accused of leaving a visually-impaired boy alone in a transport van for nearly an hour.
Somerset Police Chief George McNeil said Monday that a complaint has been filed against 63-year-old Susan Dupre of Fall River for Wanton or Reckless Behavior Creating a Risk of Serious Bodily Injury to a Child.
Dupre allegedly left the boy, 5-year-old Tristan, in the van for approximately 40 minutes after failing to drop him off at his daycare.
A court date will be determined to determine if there is probably cause to criminally charge Dupre.
Somerset Police have issued Dupre a civil citation as well.
