Cumberland man accused of multiple breaking and enterings

CUMBERLAND, R.I. (WLNE) — The Cumberland Police Department said a 39-year-old man was arrested for allegedly committing multiple break-ins at businesses.

Troy Stone was charged with breaking and entering and felony larceny charges.

Stone was accused of breaking into four total businesses on Mendon Road, Melville Road, and Bound Road.

He allegedly stole almost $150,000 in merchandise from one of the businesses.

The department added that stone was wanted as a fugitive from justice in Connecticut and had a “lengthy criminal record.”
