Cumberland man injured after motorcycle crash in Bellingham
BELLINGHAM, Mass. (WLNE) — The Bellingham Police Department said a Cumberland man was taken to the hospital after a motorcycle crash on Monday afternoon.
Just before 2 p.m., police and firefighters responded to a report of a multi-vehicle crash in the area of Center Street and Park Street.
Upon arrival, police discovered the operator of the motorcycle, a 68-year-old man from Cumberland, R.I, was injured.
Initial investigation showed that as a result of the crash, the man fell from his motorcycle, which police said “continued a significant distance until it collided into the front door” of a house on Center Street.
Police said residents were inside the home at the time, but nobody was injured.
The motorcycle operator was taken to the Milford Medical Center with minor injuries.
The operator of the other vehicle was not injured.
The crash is under investigation.
