Cumberland Mayor to run for Lt. Governor

Cumberland Mayor Dan McKee will announce his bid for Lt. Governor on Wednesday at noon.

McKee has scheduled a news conference at the Neutaconkanut Recreation Center.

McKee is in his sixth term as Cumberland's Mayor and serves as a member of the board of directors of the Boys and Girls Club of Cumberland-Lincoln.

Secretary of State Ralph Mollis, who is term limited, has also stated that he is interested in pursuing the office, however, there has been no formal announcement.

The current Lt. Governor Elizabeth Roberts is term limited so she cannot seek re-election.
