Cumberland Police arrest 66-year-old for indecent exposure

CUMBERLAND, R.I. (WLNE) — The Cumberland Police Department said it arrested a 66-year-old man on the bike path along the Blackstone River for allegedly approaching women while “fully nude.”

Thomas Belanger was charged with indecent exposure – disorderly conduct and possession of child pornography.

Police added that Belanger was believed to have been involved in several similar incidents between Cumberland and Lincoln over the past several weeks.

The department is asking anyone who had an encounter of a similar nature with an individual matching Belanger’s description or utilizing his bicycle to contact police. (Cumberland Police Department)
