Curb, drainage cleaning to impact traffic on Veteran’s Memorial Bridge Tuesday

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation announced Monday that it will be doing curb and drainage cleaning on Veterans Memorial Bridge on Tuesday.

The work will begin at 7 a.m., Dec. 5, and is expected to conclude at 3 p.m.

Police officers will be in the area to help guide the flow of traffic. At least one lane of traffic will be opened at all times.

Right and left lane closures on US-6 eastbound and westbound from mile marker 11.0 to 11.6 will be used to perform the cleaning including the on and off ramps in the area.

Drivers in the affected areas should expect delays and are asked to reduce speed and use caution.
