Custodian arraigned in court for allegedly taking photos of female in YMCA stall

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- A custodian was arraigned in court Thursday, after allegedly taking photos of a female in a YMCA shower stall.
Providence Police told ABC6 that they responded Wednesday to the YMCA on Hope Street for ‘report of exposing.’
A female, 50, stated that a custodian later identified as 51-year-old Rodolfo Marinez Lopez, was cleaning when she entered the bathroom.
While in one of the shower stalls, the victim noticed a purple glove holding a phone with the camera turned on, coming from the stall over.
The victim said she attempted to take the phone from Lopez but he placed it in his pants pocket.
Staff contacted the police after being alerted of the incident.
Lopez stated that he was leaving the bathroom and never took photos of the woman, according to officials.
With consent, police viewed Lopez’s phone for any photos that were taken but were unable to find any of the incident at the time.
Lopez has been charged with disorderly conduct.
