Customer robbed while checking out at Walgreen’s in Attleboro

ATTLEBORO, Mass. (WLNE) — Attleboro Police said a man is on the run after robbing a customer at a Walgreens on Pleasant Street in Attleboro on Monday.
Police said around 1:16 p.m. they responded to reports that a customer placed several hundred dollar bills on the counter for a purchase and a man who was nearby swiped the bills and ran out of the store.
No one was injured and no weapon was involved according to police.
Police said the suspect was last seen running on foot behind the Cumberland Farms on Pleasant Street, heading in the direction of the woods behind the U-Haul facility nearby.
The suspect is described as a light-skinned Black man, approximately 20-30 years of age, with long dreadlocks. The suspect was wearing a blue shirt, light-colored pants, and a black head wrap.
Police said he was accompanied by a White or Hispanic man with a dark beard, wearing a white Celtics jersey.
It is believed that the men arrived in a silver or gray Honda 4-door sedan according to police.
