CVS brand infant formula recalled

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH) is notifying customers of a Perrigo Company recall of cans of certain store brand Premium Infant Formula with Iron Milk-Based Powder due to higher than allowed levels of Vitamin D.

These recalled products were sold at CVS locations in Rhode Island and were sold under the CVS Health brand name.

Short-term consumption of this product by most infants is unlikely to cause health complications, but in some infants with existing health conditions such as impaired renal function, there is a potential for health complications.

The products were also shipped to New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
