Organizers of the Annual CVS Health Charity Classic made some exciting announcements during a Tuesday press conference at the Special Olympics building in Smithfield.

Co-hosts Brad Faxon and Billy Andrade joined the presser via a video stream to announce some of the early names in this year’s tourney, including tournament newcomer Keegan Bradley and two-time defending champs Steve Stricker and Bo Van Pelt.

Faxon and Andrade are proud of what the tourney does each year for charity, raising $18 million over the past 17 years.

“There’s not a lot of companies like CVS. There’s not a lot of people like Larry. There’s not a lot of golf courses like Rhode Island Country Club that all fit into such a perfect area. The monies that we’re raising are going to significant charities. It’s making an impact. We still think it’s fresh because it’s the only event like this around the country.”

The tournament takes place June 28-30 at Rhode Island Country Club.
