CVS pledges to provide bonuses, add benefits, hire 50,000 in response to COVID-19

WOONSOCKET, RI (WLNE) – CVS sent out a news release Monday pledging to do their part in responding to the Coronavirus pandemic.
CVS says they will give bonuses ranging from $150- $500 to pharmacists, store associates, managers, and other site-based hourly employees.
They also have plans to immediately fill 50,000 full-time, part-time, and temporary roles across the county, according to the release.
Those job roles include store associates, home delivery drivers, distribution center employees, and member/customer service professionals.
CVS also announced that they’re launching new employee benefits to help with child care and additional paid sick time provisions.
