‘Cybersecurity event’ occurs in Burrillville

BURRILLVILLE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Burrillville School Department said that a “cybersecurity event” occurred Thursday morning.

The department said that no student or staff computers were affected and all schools remained open.

The incident is under investigation by the department, police, and “external cybersecurity professionals.”
