Dangerously cold wind chills to grip Southern New England this weekend
A frigid weekend is on the way as our light snow event wraps up this evening. Best chance for any remaining accumulation is for Cape Cod and Nantucket.
Overnight temperatures will drop into the teens with single-digit wind chill values. Clouds will hang around tomorrow, perhaps a peak of sun. Highs will struggle to reach the 20s.
After another brutally cold overnight, Sunday will at least feature ample sunshine. But it will still be cold, and we won’t start seeing improvements until Monday afternoon. This will be the first time it will be above freezing since this past Tuesday!
Temperatures will reach the 40s for the rest of the week but our weather pattern will turn unsettled with several systems moving through. The majority will be all rain, but there is a chance to mix with snow on Tuesday night. Have a great weekend!
