Dare to Dream Ranch raising money for mental health programs that utilize horses

FOSTER, R.I. (WLNE) — For the month of May, local nonprofit Dare to Dream Ranch has joined 94 other organizations in a national campaign working to improve access to mental health programs utilizing horses.
The campaign, Seen Through Horses, works to increase awareness and raise funds for programs that incorporate horses for both mental health and personal growth.
“Horses, in partnership with psychotherapy or personal growth and well-being, can make a big difference for the mental health challenges so many people face and help them heal in a safe and powerful way,” Dare To Dream Ranch said.
Dare to Dream Ranch utilizes horse therapy to help military Veterans, active duty service members, and their families with PTSD, anxiety, depression, and other forms of mental health.
May is both Mental Health Awareness Month and Military Appreciation Month, and the ranch said “every dollar raised means we can help more Veterans, active duty members of the military, and their families.”
