Dartmouth Police arrest three men during cocaine search warrant

DARTHMOUTH, Mass. (WLNE) — The Dartmouth Police Department said that three men were arrested Thursday after executing a search warrant in connection with a crack cocaine distribution operation.

40-year-old Nicholas Azeredo was charged with trafficking cocaine in excess of one hundred grams and possession with intent to distribute a Class B drug.

30-year-old Edmund Melo and 48-year-old Joshua Bagao, both of New Bedford, were also arrested on scene due to outstanding warrants.

The Special Operations Division of the Dartmouth Police Department, with the assistance of Massachusetts State Troopers and the Fairhaven Police Department executed the search warrant on Gibson Terrace around 12:40 p.m.

During the search police allegedly found approximately 55 grams of suspected crack cocaine, approximately 50 grams of suspected powder cocaine, a digital scale, and $1,255 in cash.
