DARTMOUTH, MA (WLNE) – A Westport man was arrested Friday at a Dartmouth Walmart after reportedly using a cell phone camera to attempt to take photographs under the skirt of a female patron.
Craig Tavares, 30, of Westport, was arrested and charged with photographing, videotaping, or electronically surveilling partially nude or nude persons or the sexual or other intimate parts of a person around the person’s clothing, otherwise known as “upskirting”.
Dartmouth Police say they responded to the Walmart located at 506 State Road after receiving complaints about Tavares’ actions, and an arrest was made following an investigation.
No information is available regarding court proceedings at this time.
