Move over Black Friday.
"The day after Christmas I think is almost, if it’s not the same benefits, maybe better,” said shopper Robert McCombs.
"The deals, I think, are better,” said shopper Kristen Lussier.
The day after Christmas is giving the famous shopping day a run for its money.
"There are incredible deals. Lots of 60-70 percent off,” said Lussier.
In fact, American Express is predicting similar if not better sales than the day after Thanksgiving.
"I got some gift cards and some money so we were like oh let’s go shopping!” said shopper Shannah Colby.
But spending Christmas gift cards is just one reason why malls are jam packed. Nearly every store window at the Warwick Mall advertised major blowout sales and shoppers are taking advantage.
"You can get a sweater for $4. I got one for free because I got a $10 coupon as I walked through the door,” Lussier said.
"I just found a pair of boots. They were an extra 25 percent off at Nordstrom Rack,” said shopper Ashley Henry.
The day after Christmas is an official shopping holiday known as Boxing Day in other countries like Canada and England, but the U.S. doesn’t technically celebrate it.
