DCYF discloses death of four-year-old
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Department of Children, Youth, and Families disclosed the death of a four-year-old child Friday morning.
The incident occurred on March 21, 2024, with a final finding determination made on April 3, 2024.
DCYF shared that the Office of the Child Advocate was notified.
DCYF shared the following statement:
DCYF’s highest priority is the safety and well-being of all children. Rhode Islanders are required by law to report known or suspected cases of child abuse or neglect to DCYF within 24 hours of becoming aware of such abuse/neglect. Please call 1-800-RI-CHILD to report known or suspected cases of child abuse.
