DCYF worker under investigation for leaving child in car

PROVIDENCE, R.I. — A DCYF worker is under investigation for leaving a child in a car last week for an extended period of time.

A representative from the Office of the Child Advocate confirmed that they are investigating the incident.

A tipster claimed to be a DCYF worker alerted ABC6 News that the child was left for a few hours in the car.

DCYF told ABC6 News that it does not comment on the status of any investigations or personnel matters.
