Deceased man recovered from Charles River identified

BOSTON, Mass. (WLNE) — Massachusetts state police have identified a deceased male recovered from the Charles River Tuesday.
The male has been identified as an 80-year-old Newton man.
Preliminary investigations reveal that there was no foul play in the man’s death.
The body was discovered at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday after a dog walker observed it on the Boston side of the Charles River, not far from the Massachusetts Avenue Bridge.
After the body was moved by the state police marine unit, Boston EMS declared he was deceased.
The investigation is ongoing.
