Delivery man stabbed in Providence apartment while dropping off an order
A resident tells ABC6 exclusively that he opened the door and found the delivery man bleeding from the stomach.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- Police confirm to ABC6 that a pizza delivery man was stabbed in an apartment building in Providence on Thursday night.
The stabbing happened at the Charlesgate North Apartments on North Main Ave. in Providence around 7:30 p.m.
A resident of the building tells ABC6 exclusively that he ordered chicken wings and carrot cake from a local restaurant in Pawtucket. He says he then heard a knock on the door to find the delivery man stabbed in the stomach, seriously bleeding- while holding his food.

The resident called 911 immediately and says the delivery driver was taken to the hospital in an ambulance.
The driver was out of breath and had blood all over his shirt when he got to the door, according to the resident.
ABC6 has since reached out to Providence Police for an update on the delivery man’s condition.
