Dems holding out hope for Clinton victory

Rhode Island Democrats gathered at the Biltmore Tuesday night to watch the election closely. Most left around 10pm after the scheduled speaking program ended. Those speeches incredibly upbeat and optimistic that Hillary Clinton will be the next President of the United States.
Despite early wins for Donald Trump, leaders we spoke remaining hopeful.
“I’m still very optimistic we made a strong push here in the state so I’m excited that the democrats and Hillary won Rhode Island we are keeping a really close eye on the rest of the country,” said Providence Mayor Jorge Elorza.
"It’s very close but I still believe that Secretary Clinton will prevail. We have a path to victory but it’s going to be closer than anyone expected,” said RI Democratic State Rep. Joe McNamara.
"I’m feeling good about Hillary Clinton’s race in confident she’s going to be victorious tonight. She’s going to be the first woman to serve as president of the United States. We’ve broken an ultimate glass ceiling,” said Congressman Jim Langevin.
