Disaster loans available for residents affected by flooding
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Starting today, the U.S. Small Business Business Administration will be available for local residents to apply for federal disaster loans.
The virtual meeting, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., is available to all residents who qualify. Qualifying counties include Providence, Kent, Washington, and Newport. Some Massachusetts and Connecticut residents can also qualify.
Registration is required and it’s free to participate, applications for loans for physical damage are due on May 20, while economic injury loans are due on December 23.
The loans are available for those who were affected by the flooding that occurred in December and January.
