Disaster recovery center to be held in West Warwick

WEST WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) – Residents impacted by recent flooding events in Rhode Island have a new place to get assistance.

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SVDP) and the Knights of Columbus State Council in Rhode Island are hosting a Disaster Recovery Assistance Center on Wednesday in West Warwick.

The event will be held at St. Joseph Church on Providence Street between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m.

State Representative Thomas Noret will be joined by both state and federal emergency management agencies to provide assistance to residents in need.

The Small Business Administration and Natural Resources Conservation Service will also be present to provide resources and answer questions, according to SVDP.
