Disney World will close its Florida theme parks Sunday
Closure for the rest of March comes over coronavirus concerns

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- Walt Disney World theme parks in Florida will close for the rest of March, a company spokesperson announced Thursday.
The company had previously announced similar measures for Disneyland.
Along with its theme parks in the United States, the company will close Disneyland Paris and suspend departures from its cruise lines.
Hotels, retail, and dining establishments at the company’s resorts will remain open until further notice.
The company stated it would continue to pay cast members during the closure period. Other company employees have been encouraged to work remotely from home.
The company is not alone in shuttering its theme parks. Universal Studios announced similar measures for its Florida theme park as well.
