District Attorney: Brockton man injured in officer-involved shooting has died

BROCKTON, Mass. (WLNE) – The man injured in an officer-involved shooting in Brockton Friday afternoon has died, the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office said in a statement.
Christopher Calabro, 25, of Brockton, was pronounced dead Friday night after being transported to Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston after he was shot and injured in a confrontation with Brockton Police officers.
Brockton Police received a 911 call reporting a man with a knife in the vicinity of 209 Court Street.
Two police officers responded in separate cruisers, finding Calabro on scene wielding a knife.
According to Police Calabro brandished the knife at the officers before shots were fired and he was injured.
An investigation into the officer-involved shooting has been launched. The Plymouth County District Attorney requested an independent review of the incident, to be conducted by the Cape and Islands District Attorney.
