Division Street bridge reopens in East Greenwich

EAST GREENWICH, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island Department of Transportation announced that the Division Street bridge has reopened in East Greenwich.

Drivers will be able to use the bridge if they’re driving westbound over Route 4.

Eastbound traffic will shift onto to the bridge later this month.

The Department of Transportation said that the $22 million project is not complete yet.

Crews still need to remove the temporary bridge that’s been used while construction was going on.

RIDOT expects the project to be completed by late fall.
