Domestic assault charge dropped against East Providence coach

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Domestic assault charges against the Girl’s Basketball Coach at East Providence High School have been dropped, authorities say.

Michael Solitro Jr. had been on paid administrative leave following his arrest in early March; accused of punching his wife in the face.

He was released on bail at the time.

No word on his employment status at the school.
