Dooner: Taunton Clarion Hotel will close as Emergency Shelter in June

TAUNTON, Mass. (WLNE) — The office of Massachusetts State Senator Kelly Dooner announced on Monday that the Taunton Clarion Hotel is planned to close as an Emergency Assistance family shelter.

The closure is expected by June 30, and NeighborWorks Housing Solutions will work with the families who receive assistance in securing new housing before the closure.

The Clarion Hotel has been used to house migrants for over a year as part of Massachusetts’ shelter program while they wait for court hearings.
