Driver crashes into Cranston hair salon, police say

CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — Cranston police said a car drove into a hair salon on Tuesday afternoon causing significant damage.

Police responded to Gansett Avenue around noon for a car into a building.

The driver accelerated out of a YMCA parking lot before hitting another vehicle on Gansett Avenue. Police said, the driver continued across the street and smashed through the front entrance of the salon.

Thankfully, the salon wasn’t open for business that day, according to police.

Cranston fire officials evaluated all occupants of both vehicles. Nobody was taken to the hospital.

The driver passed evaluation after being examined.
