Driver hits RIPTA bus in Providence

PROVIDENCE, R.I (WLNE) – A driver hit a Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) bus on the corner of Washington Street and Dave Gavitt Way Sunday afternoon. 

According to police, the driver, identified as a female, went to make a right turn and did not see the bus was also making a turn. 

Police have not reported any injuries and charges against the driver are currently pending.
