Driver seriously injured in Lakeville crash

LAKEVILLE, Mass. (WLNE) — A driver was seriously injured in an early-morning crash in Lakeville.

The Lakeville Fire Department said crews responded to Route 140 around 12:16 a.m. Tuesday for reports of a car that went off the road into the woods.

First responders found a heavily damaged car just south of the County Street exit on the northbound side of Route 140.

Officials said firefighters had to cut through vegetation to reach the car, then used jaws of life to get the driver out.

The victim was taken to the St. Luke’s Hospital trauma center to be treated for serious injuries.

No other injuries were reported in the incident.
