Dryer fire sparks large emergency response in Providence

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A dryer caught fire inside a home in Providence Monday night, prompting a massive emergency response.

ABC 6 News crews were on Roosevelt Street where firefighters were staged and seen moving in and out of a home.

Responders on the scene told ABC 6 that the fire was put out with an extinguisher and nobody was injured.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
