Drying out this afternoon
Weekend forecast looking great, dry stretch continues into next week
Happy Friday!
We’re waking up to some shower activity this morning, and although most of the rain has already fallen, showers will continue through the morning commute and into mid-morning. We only saw about an inch of rain at most through the Ocean State and Bristol County, MA, so the only concerns this morning are just a little bit of ponding on roadways. Showers stick around through about 9-10am, and we begin to see gradual clearing after that. This afternoon, expect a few peeks of sunshine and temperatures in the upper 60s to low 70s.
Keep in mind there may be a bit of a gusty wind at times today, anywhere from 15-20mph out of the northeast. For that reason, there is a Small Craft Advisory in effect today for the bay and extending off our shoreline – just something to be aware of if you’re hitting the water later!
The weekend forecast is looking fantastic – lots of sunshine, low humidity, and temperatures in the upper 70s and low 80s. If I had to pick a day I like better, Sunday is just a tad warmer. The dry stretch also continues well into next week. In fact, today’s rain is the only rain we have on the 7-day forecast so far.
Have a great weekend!
