DUI Task Force: 17 DWI arrests made overnight

NORTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (WLNE) – The Rhode Island DUI task force was out on the road Wednesday night into the early mornings of Thanksgiving, looking for impaired drivers.

Their night began at 7 p.m. Wednesday evening, and concluded at 3 a.m. on Thursday. 

In that time, 17 Driving While Intoxicated arrests were made. 

It is unknown at this time if any arrests were a result of any accidents, or if any injuries were reported overnight. 

The task force will continue monitoring throughout the holiday weekend.
