Dunn Scores Career-High 32 Points, PC Beats Harvard In Season Opener

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) – Kris Dunn scored a career-high 32 points and Rodney Bullock added 20, also a career best, as Providence defeated Harvard 76-64 on Saturday night.

Dunn sank 11 of 26 shots and was 9 of 11 from the foul line as the Friars (1-0) held off Harvard. Freshman Corey Johnson led the Crimson (1-1) with 17 points, including five 3-pointers. Harvard was 9 of 20 from 3-point range, the most since making 12 against Penn in 2014.

Providence was 18 of 21 from the foul line, while Harvard was 7 of 13. Dunn also had five assists and grabbed eight steals while the entire Crimson squad made three.

Zena Edosomwan scored 13 points with 16 rebounds for Harvard, his first double-double.

An Edosomwan dunk tied the game at 41-41, but Bullock sparked an 18-5 run for Providence with a layup, and Dunn capped the run with a 3-pointer, as the Friars pulled away.
