Dunn’s Corner firefighters respond to elementary school after electrical failure

WESTERLY, R.I. (WLNE) — The Dunn’s Corner Fire Department said firefighters responded to the kitchen of Dunn’s Corner Elementary School for a reported electrical failure.

The incident occurred around 11:45 a.m. when a food warmer was plugged into a failed receptacle.

All students and staff were evacuated, and there were no injuries.

The department said the all clear was given around 12:15 p.m. and the school returned to normal operations.
