WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — Students were sent home after a roof issue was found at Tollgate High School, according to Warwick Mayor Frank Picozzi.

The mayor said on social media Monday that the strong wind was causing a problem with the roof of the school.

Picozzi said the city skating rinks and pool were also closed due to power outages.

He noted that trash pickup was not delayed, as most people put their barrels out the night before.

Warwick wasn’t the only community to see disruptions.

Monday’s storm caused several school cancellations across the state.
