Early morning car fire spreads to home in Providence

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — According to the Providence Fire Chief Derek Silva, firefighters responded to Melissa Street just before 3:30 this morning for a car fire.

The car fire then spread to a home.

The chief says firefighters were able to get the car fire out quickly before it spread further into the home.

No one was hurt.

Only the sunroom and siding of the home was damaged by flames, so the tenants can still live there.
