Early results show Constitutional Convention voted down in Rhode Island

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Early results on election night show that Rhode Island is leaning towards not having a Constitutional Convention.

While results show that 96% of all votes have been reported, the state Board of Elections said that early and mail-in votes have still not been counted.

On the question of if the state should revise its constitution, nearly 63% of reported voters chose to reject, while 37% approved the idea.

Early results also showed approval for all four bond questions that were on the ballot.

The results can be seen here.
