EAST BRIDGEWATER, Mass. (WLNE) — A 38-year-old man from Dorchester was arrested in connection with a recent package theft in East Bridgewater, according to officials.

Arialdys Arias was charged with conspiracy and larceny over $1,200 after police said he was captured stealing a iPhone 15 Pro off the door step of a home back on Sept. 5.

Through an initial investigation, police developed information that the suspect was driving a white Toyota Scion xB on the day of the theft.

East Bridgewater Police were able to identify the license plate, and put out an alert to area law enforcement agencies to be on the lookout for the vehicle.

Officials said the vehicle was then located and stopped by the Massachusetts State Police a short time later.

Arias had allegedly been following a FedEx truck that was making deliveries in the neighborhood, according to officials.

He was arrested on Monday, Sept. 9 by East Bridgewater Police.

East Bridgewater Police are seeking an arrest warrant for a second suspect who was inside the vehicle with Arias that day and allegedly participated in the theft.
