East Providence businesses seeing 50 percent drop in business since bridge closure

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The East Providence City Council will once again discuss the impact of the Washington Bridge closure Tuesday.

The most recent meeting featured a request from the council to Governor Dan McKee to declare a state of emergency, which was rebuffed as such declarations are reserved for natural disasters.
