East Providence Police are searching for a suspect in a deadly barber shop shooting.

The owner of the Pawtucket Ave business, Krazy Kuts, was shot and killed in cold blood yesterday afternoon.

Loved ones and friends are mourning the loss and trying to wrap their heads around how something like this could happen in broad daylight.

42-year old Yusef A’vant was shot just after 2 o’clock Wednesday inside the barber shop he owned.

The East Providence man was rushed to the hospital but died of his injuries.

Dozens of people watched as officers shut down several streets around the crime scene combing for clues and looking for evidence.

Police have not released any possible motive for the violence.

“It’s a very quiet business. I’ve never seen any issues or problems at all in the 7 years I’ve been here,” said neighbor Lucy Almeida.

No weapon was found at the scene. The shooter is still at large.
