East Providence Police investigate fatal crash
EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- A single-car crash left one dead early Monday morning, according to East Providence Police.
Police said that 31-year-old Phillip Holub died as a result of the crash.
Crews responded to reports of a traffic pole and sign both down at the intersection of Warren and Waterman Ave., around 1 a.m.
First responders found much more when they got to the scene, a car had driven into the woods next to the road and was upside down.
Holub was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
Investigators said that speed was a factor in the crash.
